I have been told that due to it being 2 months since my accident
(see here) i'm going to need intensive physiotherapy to gain my full range of movement. Whilst sitting in the waiting room waiting to be seen by a doctor, i could hear panicked voices where the nurses had lost my report card and x-rays from my previous visit! I then had to tell my story to 3 different doctors while each of them were putting my arm into all sorts of pain inflicting positions.
I told them what had happened and that i was dismissed from my follow up appointment with no idea of what i had to do to help my recovery, they agreed and said " yeah thats what i would do, although it wouldn't guarantee that you get full recovery" WTF!!!
To top this whole experience off, i was told that i could get an x-ray but the doctor didn't want to waste the radiation on me. Now what the hell is the NHS all about? Promoting recovery my arse!
So now after a few more examinations of my arm, i've been told that i need intensive Physio. So, i waited until a reluctant doctor gave me the number to phone for a physiotherapist ( i've still to see if its going to cost me or not).
So, what do i know? not a lot more than what i already knew- i may have a
fractured radial head, which is affecting the overall movement. I also have
tennis elbow, which is a burser (pocket of fluid) that again restricts my movement and makes things very painful.
Why did it take 2 months after the accident to find these things out? I have lost all faith in the NHS, i just hope i can afford to go private at some point.
