Going Rigid

I thought i'd upload a picture of my bike with the rigid forks on. I went for a 4 1/2 hour ride along local fire roads yesterday, it feels so good; the position, the components, the gearing...everything. The only thing that could make it feel nicer would be if it was made of Steel. Oh well, we cant have it all.

It is still lovely.

Fixed

The traffic was crazy today. Some days i feel like a traveller trying to cross the Sahara. Only instead of endless sand, it's an ocean of autos. Metal and pavement as far as the eye can see. It's funny how I never view myself as part of the confusion, which, of course, I am. Instead, I split lanes and ride through it. I pass by the cars and drive by buses with a necessary simplicity. Instead of the thirsty, tired wanderer. I try to be the breeze.

I was looking through Jambar's blog and seen he had changed his hair colour. It's amazing that all it takes is a drop of bleach and he transforms himself into Worzel Gummidge.

Journey of the healing knee

Well it hasn't healed yet and it looks as though i've got 2 knee caps for the price of one, but 5 weeks later and the wound is finally healing(ish).

I was fitting my new bars to the roadrat, and thought i'd take my camera out to the garage with me.

I really like the picture below not sure why, everythings out of focus apart from one section of the brake hose. (maybe because my mountain bike has mud on it, it's probably the first time this year it's seen it- that makes me sad).
